Grice Group Architects is a certified minority firm established in 1984 for the private practice of architecture and planning. It has successfully combined the varied experience of its principal, Karl A. Grice, FAIA, with that of other professionals.

In response to the diverse needs of our clients, Grice Group Architects offers the close and personal concern of its principal and the extensive experience of the entire firm. The practice of architecture is a service, and as such, the quality of the service rendered must be measured both by the product and by the way the product is delivered. All projects are approached with an interest in producing designs that will have lasting value. Design starts without preconception so that each problem is solved on its own terms.

The primary focus of Grice Group Architects is to provide a personalized professional service in architecture and planning with a concentrated effort to engage the client in a firm understanding of all project needs, which ultimately results in meeting the project goals. Our building designs are intended to communicate their use and the ideas of the client: buildings which are meaningful to the people who use them.

Quality architectural services will provide a product of aesthetic and functional excellence, competently executed drawings, specifications and contract administration, and effective management of project budgets and schedules.

Our services are comprehensive: they include programming of spatial needs, the development of master plans, the design of new buildings, the recycling of old buildings, cost estimating, and construction observation and management.
